Experience A Typical Day

  • Drop Off

Children arrive and are welcomed into a calm, structured environment. Teachers support each child as they transition from home to school, assisting with belongings and helping them settle into the classroom through familiar routines and open-ended activities.

  • Morning

The morning begins with breakfast and shared time. Children experience a balance of group activities, independent exploration, outdoor play, and guided learning. The day’s theme and direction are introduced through consistent routines and engaging experiences.

  • Noon

Children gather for a freshly prepared lunch, sharing a meal while practicing independence and table routines. Mealtimes encourage conversation and connection. After lunch, children enjoy a quiet rest period, supporting a smooth transition into the afternoon.

  • Afternoon

Afternoons offer a relaxed rhythm of activities, play, and exploration. Children revisit ideas, connect with peers, and participate in hands-on experiences, allowing the day to unfold naturally.

  • Pick Up

As the day comes to a close, children prepare for departure through simple, organized routines. Staff assist with gathering belongings, and brief updates are shared to support continuity between school and home.

Indoor Classroom

  • Layout

Semi-open plan classrooms that connect spaces while keeping each room purposeful, helping children feel part of a larger community and making daily movement between activities smoother, calmer, and more intuitive.

  • Sightlines

Clear visibility across rooms so teachers and children can be seen easily, supporting quick support, safer supervision, smoother transitions, and a more connected classroom culture throughout the day.

  • Enclosure

Learning zones that create defined, cozy spaces within a semi-open layout, giving children structure and comfort, reducing overstimulation, and supporting focus, routine, and small-group engagement.

  • Showcase

Children's work displayed across walls for everyone to see, celebrating effort, encouraging pride, sparking peer learning, and letting children absorb many interpretations of the same project over time.

  • Hearth

A kitchen-forward open space that feels like home, positioning nourishment at the center of the school, reinforcing warmth and care, and making the environment welcoming, grounded, and familiar.

  • Senses

Children witness meal preparation through seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling, and eventually tasting, strengthening curiosity, food confidence, language, and connection to daily routines that support learning and security.

Outdoor Classroom

  • Zoning

Bridges, paths, and a central stage organize the yard into clear outdoor rooms. Defined zones support smoother transitions, varied activities, and a sense of purpose without enclosing children.

  • Surfaces

Soft play areas, sand, and rubber chip zones create safer places to tumble, climb, and dig. Multiple textures invite sensory learning while supporting confidence, balance, and fine motor development.

  • Nature

Real grass and garden beds keep living systems present. Children notice seasons, insects, and growth while tending crops: scallions, cherry tomatoes, sweet peppers, mint, basil, oregano, connecting harvest to meals.

  • Mobility

A separate trike area gives riding its own space, reducing collisions and confusion. Dedicated circulation supports safety, rule learning, turn taking, and active play that builds coordination and endurance.

  • Roleplay

Twin playhouses and an exterior play kitchen support imaginative scenarios and cooperative storytelling. These settings encourage language, social negotiation, sensory exploration, and joyful routines that mirror real life experiences.

  • Comfort

Shade structures and integrated seating areas make the yard usable throughout the day. Benches and tables support rest, snacks, small groups, and bringing indoor learning activities outside comfortably.
